Canadian Comic Book Series: The Night Spike
One of the standout titles in our collection is “The Night Spike,” an enthralling series published by Studiocomix Press. Created by award-winning Canadian comic book creator and illustrator Alfonso Espinos, “The Night Spike” follows the adventures of its titular hero through a world filled with intrigue and danger. Espinos, the founder of Studiocomix Press, has been instrumental in nurturing independent comic talent in Canada, supporting a team of emerging graphic artists and comic enthusiasts. His dedication to the craft is evident in the compelling narratives and dynamic illustrations that define “The Night Spike” series.
Canadian Manga: Bite Mark
Expanding our repertoire to include manga, we are excited to feature “Bitemark,” a gripping series that reimagines werewolf lore. Set in an East Coast city plagued by a mysterious beast for nearly a decade, the story centers on Miki, a timid office worker who, alongside her best friend Ana, embarks on a transformative journey. Drawing inspiration from classic horror tales like “An American Werewolf in London” and “Ginger Snaps,” “Bitemark” explores themes of identity, revenge, and the primal instincts lurking within us all.
